The White Mountain is the 18th and most recent (Sept 2025) in Robert Goldsborough’s estate-approved continuation of Rex Stout’s Nero Wolfe/Archie Goodwin series. I’ve read several of these follow-on books, and have enjoyed all that I have read. Sure, there are some small differences, but nothing big enough to spoil my pleasure at having a few extra Wolfe/Goodwin books to read. The use of the title, The White Mountain, may or may not be a riff on Stout’s The Black Mountain – I don’t know, because I haven’t read this new one yet. But in any case, it is on sale in both the US and UK, for $1.99/£1.99 respectively, and discountable at Kobo.
