Georges Simenon’s classic Inspector Maigret books are being reissued in e-book format, and Humble Bundle has a collection of the first eighteen reissued books for just $18. That works out to just $1 per book if you need them all. (And if you haven’t read any Maigret books, then you definitely need them all !!!)
As usual with Humble Bundle, there are a couple of lower levels available as well: for $10, you can get four books, or for $1 you get one book. But you don’t get to choose which books you’ll receive at these lower levels – sadly, Humble Bundle does that for you. You can see more details about the various levels and books on the Humble Bundle webpage. Keep in mind, though, that the normal price for EACH of these e-books is $9.99 and up in the US. So even if you already have some of them, one of these bundles may still be a good deal for you.
You should also note that many of these books have been published with multiple titles over the years. Usually the titles are similar enough that you can figure it out, but occasionally they come out of left field. (A Face for a Clue, Maigret and the Concarneau Murders, Maigret and the Yellow Dog, and The Yellow Dog are all the same book. And that doesn’t even count the original French title of Le chien jaune.) So if you really want to check for sure which books you may already have, you’ll probably want to take a look at the Georges Simenon page at SYKM, where they do their best to keep up with all of the various titles.
