Maxwell’s House is the first in MJ Trow‘s Peter Maxwell (also known as Mad Max) series. It is free right now at Kindle US and UK. This is one of the series that I remember discovering in paperback on business trips to the UK years ago, before e-books, from which I used to come back with half-a-suitcase full of paperback books that were hard/impossible to find in the US.
