I had a chance a while back to read an ARC of the third and most recent title in Garry Disher’s Paul Hirschhausen series, Consolation, and surprised myself by how much I really enjoyed it. You can see my review in this previous post. Now the second title in the series, Peace, is on sale at Kindle UK for £0.99 as part of the Daily Deal for January 5, 2021. I guess I’ll be reading my way backward in this series!

Bitter Wash Road, apa Hell to Pay, is the first in Garry Disher’s Constable Hirsch series. It has dropped to £0.99 at Kindle UK. I had a chance to read an ARC of the third title in the series, Consolation, and really liked it (see my review here), and now here’s the first title on sale…woo-hoo!

The Way It Is Now is a really recent (Aug, 2022) non-series book by Garry Disher. It has dropped to £2.19 at Kindle UK. And it’s currently #74 on the UK Kindle best sellers list. I haven’t read this one, but have read books in a couple of Disher’s series and liked them. But I’m still a little surprised to see this one that high on the overall best sellers list.

I’ve read a few of Garry Disher’s mysteries in his Hirsch and Hal Challis series, and have liked the ones I read. But they rarely go on sale, so I’m happy to see Day’s End, which is the fourth in the Hirsch series, drop to £2.49 at Kindle UK. That’s still a bit more than I like to pay, but it is the most recent (2023) in the series, so better than if it were old backlist. Sadly, it’s not on sale, at least as of now, at Kobo UK. I’ve included the link for price-check, though. And also not on sale in the US…
