The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny is $2.99 at Kindle and Kobo US

The Cruelest Month is the third in the Chief Inspector Gamache series by Louise Penny. I really really like this series – it’s a nice mix of police procedural (with a bit of an edge) and something a bit cozier. And I’m apparently not the only one to like it – per SYKM, almost every title in the series has been nominated for and/or won a number of different awards. The Cruelest Month It has dropped to $2.99 at Kindle and Kobo US right now (April 25, 2021). Titles in this series don’t usually stay on sale very long, and tend to be pretty expensive when not on sale, so I’d grab this right now if you want it!

  1. The Madness of Crowds is the seventeenth and most recent (2021) in this series. It has dropped to £0.99 at Kindle UK, probably as part of that weird but wonderful UK thing where relatively new e-books will drop briefly, once, to £0.99, shortly after they come out. The £0.99 price point never lasts very long though, so grab this one NOW if you want it! (I grabbed it before even doing this post, just to make sure it didn’t go away on me…)
