I’m a pushover for mysteries set in Egypt – ancient Egypt for sure, but also 1800s – early 1900s Egypt, and even modern Egypt. And one series I’ve really enjoyed is Paul (PC) Doherty’s brief seven-book series, set during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut (Hatusu) and featuring Amerotke, a highly respected Theban judge, as the main character. In the US, this series is e-published by Headline, at very reasonable long-term prices ($0.99 – $2.99), with one odd exception. That exception is the fifth book, The Assassins of Isis, which also has a St Martins/Minotaur version. And, although Kobo US has both the Headline and the Minotaur editions, Kindle US has only the Minotaur book, which tends to be quite pretty expensive normally, but is on sale right now. So, I’m giving you multiple links below. If I were you, I would buy the Headline version at Kobo US for $0.99, but if you really want to use Kindle, the Minotaur version is on sale for only $2.99 there right now, which is still not too bad. And if that isn’t confusing, I don’t know what is!
Buy The Assassins of Isis at: Kindle US (St Martins/Minotaur, $2.99) | Kobo US (Headline, $0.99) | Kobo US (St Martins/Minotaur, $2.99, discountable)
Also, since I just raved about the Amerotke books, here are links to the Headline series pages for the rest of them: Kindle US | Kobo US
And finally (I promise 😀), there is also an omnibus of the second, third and fourth books in the series available for $1.99. So if you read and like the first one, you can get the next three at a very nice price! Links are here: Kindle US | Kobo US
NOTE: The St Martins/Minotaur version has gone back up in price at Kindle US and Kobo US. However the Headline version is still $0.99 at Kobo US…
