December’s Kindle First Read books, one of which is free to Prime members before the official release, include three thriller/suspense books. I’m typically not much into thriller/suspense, but do like some from time-to-time. And, of course, YMMV…
The three books are:
• The Water Lies by Amy Meyerson
• Her Beautiful Life by Brianna Labuskes
• Behind These Four Walls by Yasmin Angoe
I was tempted by The Water Lies, mostly because I live not far from its location, and my husband and I occasionally walk along those canals. And it’s always fun to read a book set in a place you know. But in the end, I went for a different book altogether – the fantasy book, Tea & Alchemy, by Sharon Lynn Fisher. After all, what’s not to like about tea?
It’s also worth noting that if you don’t have Prime, you can still buy one of the books for $1.99, which is still reduced from their normal price. And there is also a bonus short story for free, The Last Father-Daughter Dance by Lisa Wingate. That has the same pricing structure – free if you have Prime, and $1.99 if you don’t. And finally (whew!), if you have Kindle Unlimited, most or all of these will be available on KU after they are officially published.
