A decade or so ago, Jane Finnis wrote a short, rather obscure, four-book series set in northern Roman Britain that I quite liked, featuring innkeeper Aurelia Marcella. The second in the series is now on sale in the US.

A Bitter Chill is no longer on sale, but the third book in the series, Buried Too Deep, now is – for $2.99 in the US.

Now all four of the books in the Aurelia Marcella series are either $1.99 (the last three) or $2.99 (the first one) at Kindle and Kobo US. I know I’m not their marketing person, but I would have had the first book be the least expensive, so folks can read in order, and get hooked. But what do I know?
There don’t seem to be series webpages, but Finnis didn’t write a lot of other books, so the author webpages should do, without too many extra books to sort through.

Oh, and I also discovered there is a collection of short stories available too, A Pinch of Pure Cunning. I had no idea this existed, but it’s rather expensive at the moment. So I’ll keep an eye out, and come here and post if I see it on sale!
