My politics don’t lean this way, but it’s good to read widely. And now Ideas Have Consequences, by Richard M Weaver, described in its blurb as “[a] foundational text of the modern conservative movement”, is on sale for $1.99 at Kindle US. It will be interesting to see how much relevance a 1948 book has (or doesn’t have) to what’s going on today…especially since this “expanded edition” is itself dated 2013, which seems like an eternity ago…
