The Deeds of the Disturber is the fifth in the excellent IMO, and in the opinion of lots of other folks, Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters (pen name for Barbara Mertz). I love pretty much all of the books in this series, although I am possibly a slightly bigger fan of Peters’ lesser-known Jacqueline Kirby and Vicky Bliss series. In any case, Deeds is on sale right now for $1.99 at Kindle US. And although it does go on sale pretty often, when it’s not on sale, it’s $6.99. So grab it now if you want it!

Some of the earlier books in this series go on sale pretty often, but I haven’t seen either of the latter two on sale for prices this good in ages, if ever, so grab them now if you think you might ever want them!
The Snake, the Crocodile and the Dog is the seventh in the Amelia Peabody series. It has dropped to £2.99 at Kindle UK, which is its lowest price for many years. Also, the first title in the series, The Crocodile on the Sandbank, has been at £1.99 for more than a year, so if you are one of the two people in the world who haven’t tried this series yet, here you go… . And a number of other series titles are at £3.99, which is not too bad – although these are old backlist by now, they are very good old backlist – IMO, at least.
(And I love the covers of these C&R Crime versions too.)
