Voices of Rome contains four novellas by Lindsey Davis, a couple of which I’ve read and enjoyed. I do think the blurb on the webpage is a bit too flowery – Davis’s books are among my favorites, but “two immortal series” and “finest living novelist of Ancient Rome” is a bit too much IMO 😊. But that’s not Davis’ fault. The novellas are: The Bride from Bithynia, The Spook Who Spoke Again, Vesuvius by Night, and Invitation to Die. The collection has dropped to $0.99 in the US.
