Dark Sky is the twenty-first and most recent (2021) in the Joe Pickett series by C.J. Box. It has dropped to £0.99 at Kindle UK. It’s always nice to see a most-recent-in-series title on sale at a very nice price! Since this dropped in price at the beginning of May, and is still on sale right now, I’m guessing this may be one of the Kindle UK monthly deal titles, and may go back up in price at the end of May. But if you want it, don’t count on that – just grab it now!

    Three of CJ Box’s books are gathered in an omnibus called The Big Sky Collection. Two feature Cassie Dewell/Cody Hoyt: Three Weeks To Say Goodbye and Back of Beyond. The third is a non-series title, Blue Heaven, which, per SYKM, won the 2009 Edgar Award for Best Mystery. The collection has dropped to £0.99 at Kindle UK. This collection doesn’t seem to exist in the US, but a similar four-book collection, which also includes The Highway, is currently $27.97 (!!!) in the US.

    In addition, Blue Heaven is also available individually right now at Kindle UK for £0.99.

    And finally, Box’s Winterkill, which is the third in his Joe Pickett series, is on sale for $1.99 in the US.

    Wolf Pack has now dropped to $1.99 at Kindle and Kobo US. The links in the comment immediately above are still good.

    Also, Open Season, the first book in this series, is $1.99 at Kindle and Kobo US, as well as long term at £1.89 at Kindle UK. But note the omnibus in the next comment, which also contains Open Season!

    Also, while checking CJ Box’s books in the UK, I also found an omnibus of the first six Joe Pickett books available for £4.68 in the UK. So if you want/need most or all of these books, that’s a pretty good price. OTOH, eReaderIQ indicates that this has been as low as £0.99 in the past few years, and as low as £1.89 in the past year. So if you are patient, you can probably do really well on this one, but £4.68 for six books is pretty darn good as it is.

    Note that the name “Picket” is mispelled in the title of the omnibus…

    The omnibus of the first six Joe Picket books is on sale for £0.99 (!!!!) right now at Kindle UK. I’m guessing that Box got the rights back in the UK ??? In any case, the link two comments up is still good.

    There’s a second omnibus available also, of the next six books, and I’ll keep an eye out for it to go on sale too. Although at £4.68 for six books, it’s not badly priced right now anyway. So here is a link for that too.
