In addition to being a sucker for mysteries set in France, I’m just as much a sucker for mysteries set in Egypt – either ancient or modern-day. And Carol Thurston’s The Eye of Horus fits the bill – as you might guess from its title 😊…
I read this in paperback many (many) years ago, and although I’m not usually a fan of the “then-and-now/parallel timeline” approach, Thurston made it work. I don’t remember a lot of details, but do remember that I really liked it, and even shed a tear or two while reading. And I was sad that Thurston never wrote any more. So, now that it’s on sale at Kindle US for $1.99, I’ll probably grab it and put it near the top of my TBR (or TB Re-Read) list.
