The Beekeeper’s Apprentice is the first in the Laurie R. King’s excellent (IMO) Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes series. I’ve really liked a lot of the books in this series, especially the ones where Holmes and Russell are caught up in the Great Game rivalries of the time. I had a chance a while back to read an ARC of the third and most recent title in Garry Disher’s Paul Hirschhausen series, Consolation, and surprised myself by how much I really enjoyed it. You can see my review in this previous post. Now the second title in the series, Peace, is on sale at Kindle
